2020 REGISTRATION IS OPEN

No one is sure what the landscape will look like this fall, but we are hoping for the best and preparing for the season.  See below for some important changes to our program.

Some months ago, Middleton-Cross Plains Area High School Varsity Football Coach, Jason Pertzborn, introduced the idea of the co-op of our two area youth football programs, namely Middleton Cardinal Youth Football and St. Francis Xavier-Cross Plains Orioles Youth Football. After much discussion, the program directors of both organizations have made the decision to implement the changes outlined below blending our area youth football programs.  By doing so, we all feel this will allow the two youth programs to better align under the guidance of Middleton-Cross Plains Area High School.

4th and 5th Grades
These players will register on the St. Francis Xavier Website and play Rookie Tackle 8-on-8 football in an independent league. Rookie Tackle was developed by USA Football to be a bridge between flag football and traditional 11-on-11 tackle football. It is played on a smaller field with less players. St. Francis Xavier will host football practices and home games at their St. Francis Xavier fields in Cross Plains. Games will be played Saturday mornings.  Rookie Tackle Football Info: https://usafootball.com/rookietackle/

6th Grade
These players will register on the Cardinal Youth Football Website and play 11-on-11 tackle football in the Badger Central Alliance League with games on Saturday mornings. Middleton Cardinal Youth Football will host practices at Taylor Park and home games at Otto Breitenbach Stadium in Middleton.

7th and 8th Grades
These players will register on the Cardinal Youth Football Website and play 11-on-11 tackle football in the Jr. High Alliance League and play games on Tuesday evenings. Middleton Cardinal Youth Football will host practices at Taylor Park and home games at Otto Breitenbach Stadium in Middleton.

The registration fee for all grade levels will be $145 per player for the season. Please be assured that if the season is canceled or shortened we will provide full or partial refunds.  As always, financial assistance and scholarships are available. We encourage all families to register as soon as possible so we can get a feel for our numbers.
